HandsOn Battle Creek works with the desire to be a part of something bigger, the drive for change, the aspiration to make a difference, and turns it into action through volunteering.
Martin Austin - AmeriCorp VISTA, Adult Program
Martin Austin is a native of Battle Creek and a proud graduate of Battle Creek Public Schools. Martin recently graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Communications and a minor in General Business. He intends to further his education by pursing my Masters in Public Administration with a non-profit focus in the near future.
Outside of work Martin is very active in his local church and loves working with youth. Martin also likes to listen to music and to attend live concerts. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is always looking to make more friends.
Martin’s goal is to be an asset here at HandsOn Battle Creek and would love to know that after his year of service, HandsOn is in a better position to serve Calhoun County and continue to build a strong, caring community.
HandsOn Battle Creek is currently making a list of people that may want to get involved in the clean-up efforts for the Kalamazoo River. As soon as opportunities are created, volunteers will be contacted by the Office of Emergency Management. To become a part of this effort, you must create a user profile on our website, or if you already have one login by clicking here.
